The LS Racing team from Liuzhou Institute of Technology in Guangxi claimed its fifth overall title at the 2026 Formula Student China, which concluded in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Piloting a race car independently designed and manufactured in-house, the squad outperformed competitors from numerous prestigious universities to secure its fifth championship in the team’s 17-year competition history.
Founded in 2009, LS Racing is China’s first Formula Student team launched by a privately-run university. Liuzhou Institute of Technology brings classroom teaching to factory sites and advances in-depth school-enterprise cooperation, empowering students to complete the full workflow ranging from complete vehicle design to track testing. Over the past 17 years, the team has cultivated over 1,000 automotive talents, with a large proportion employed by renowned vehicle manufacturers.
